EILEEN WOLFE 5/10/1940 - 23/11/2007   The Queensland Crabbet Arabian Group suffered a huge loss in November 2007 with the death of our long-time Secretary and Show Secretary Eileen Wolfe.  Eileen and her husband Rob migrated to Australia from their birthplace, Ireland, in November 1969, and Eileen was drawn to Arabian horses through a friendship with Paul and Judy Ward of Bellmere Stud.  Eileen acquired several Crabbet Arabians, and joined the Queensland Crabbet Group where she quickly became a popular secretary, and the instigator of the Group's promotional horse float with its variety of merchandise.  As the manager of a jewellery business, she had a gift for retailing, and her delightful Irish accent enchanted her customers.  In 2007 she was awarded a Distinguished Service Medallion by the Arabian Horse Society of Australia in recognition of over 20 years of service to the Arabian breed.  As loyal committee member and friend, she will never be forgotten.
